Sax G - Tu Me Manques

Posted by on Tue, Mar 12, 2013 at 1:52 PM

First: say it like this.
Second: clear some space out...

On Tu Me Manques, Sax G explores lonely worlds, weaving melancholy synth throughout each passage, dotting songs with sparse lyrics, as if to say maybe there isn't much to say at all.

Perhaps better known for his lyrical prowess, Sax takes a hard turn for anyone expecting to hear neatly crafted sixteens. Here, he showcases his abilities as a producer, impressing with a distinctive style he calls "groove," characterized by slowly morphing melodies and minimal rhythm sections that stutter and bounce with purposeful laze.

Sax G's new album Tu Me Manques is a sensuous, half-instrumental bath of ASMR soul with occasional raps. I highly recommend you listen and download. Thanks be once again to the monument to love and music that is Cloud Nice, habitual purveyors of funky brilliance, a proud part of Seattle's starborne vanguard.
