It's March 14th, 2013 And You're in a Rad Garage Band - GFY - Del-Fi's

Posted by on Thu, Mar 14, 2013 at 4:22 PM

Now HERE is a righteous testimony to the Everly Brothers' teener harmonies meetin' some crazy droning guitar playing!!!

The Del-fi's were from Bethesda, Maryland. Also: this 45 was issued twice—the second issue has a lavender-colored sticker; ORIGINALS are yellow.

It's not a matter of response, it's a matter of getting the roots of garage out there, AGAIN. Time and the direction garage took during oughties has diluted the primitive garage sound. If not for Pebbles/Back From the Grave series most of the '90s groups wouldn't have existed. I'm just tryna remind folks, thats all. The good stuff? Like the Estrus label gear? Thee Headcoats? The Makers or Oblivians? I wrote all about them in the '90s.

My back and forth was with ex-music Ed Grant Brissey, I referred to the Cheater Slicks as he'd only just just discovered the Slicks, twenty years late!!
