Snoop Lion Releases New Single, "No Guns Allowed," Featuring Drake and His Daughter Cori B.

Snoop Dogg is going full steam ahead with his reggae alter-ego Snoop Lion—today he released the new single "No Guns Allowed," featuring Drake and his own daughter Cori B. It'll be on the upcoming album Reincarnated, out next month. The track was co-produced by Diplo and Ariel Rechtshaid (who used to be the singer in the ska band the Hippos—weird!)

So, now that we get another peak at Snoop Lion's work, where do you think it stands among the rest of the alter ego efforts?

I'm sorry- I was incredulous when I first heard of Snoop Dog's recent "conversion" as much because I find reggae an extremely limiting, boring, repetitive genre of music. But damn if he didn't convince me with this song. It was lovely. I'm just shocked how much I enjoyed it. It definitely was rooted in Reggae but didnt adhere strictly to its narrow code and the result is surprisingly good!

In which universe is a David Bowie victory unfair? Of course he wins—he's the best!
