Bad news, everyone. Starting next Tuesday, Capitol Hill's Highline Bar is going to close down their kitchen, meaning noo more greasy but good vegan food. Sad! They posted this message on their Facebook page yesterday:
While we will continue on as normal with our bar/show space, today marks the beginning of the final week Highline's kitchen will be serving food. Our aim is to give prime focus to live music and performing arts. Thank you to all our diners over the years! If you're hungry, you've still got until next Tuesday to eat all the sandwiches you can stuff down!
No more BBQ Nuggs? No more Crazy Train? Nooooo!
No word on whether or not this will also eliminate Cakearoke, but I've called and messaged the bar—I'll let you know what I find out. In the meantime, stuff your face while you can! The bar also has some good shows coming up, should you want to headbang the pain away—Christdriver is on Sunday with Lungs and Ubik, and Graves at Sea play Tuesday with Atriarch and Same Sex Dictator. Their full calendar is here.
How many Nuggs can a person eat in one week without dying from Nugg poisoning?
