The Contents Are didn't really go for the goofed-up white kids playing Bo Diddley/R&beat; instead, they too went for a beat/folk-rock songwriter angle. Meaning they sound like the Beatles AND Buffalo Springfield, yet they weren't afraid to use their fuzz pedal!
In all they had two GREAT 45s, "I Don't Know" b/w "Direction Of Mind" and "Future Days" b/w "New Mexico," and an album, Through You; all issued on the Rok label. The album was only rumored to exist until 2005, when one turned up for sale in Texas!! The Contents Are were from Quad City, Iowa.
