Ah, here is another moment when surf met garage: the Motions' third 45, "Land Beyond The Moon."

This hasta be said, AGAIN: The best surf guitar/bands were landlocked and located in the Midwest, so it's not shocker the Motions, not the Dutch band the Motions obvs, were based in Cleveland, Ohio. A Ventures-type band, they only added vocals to take advantage of the British Invasion. In fact they named one of their songs "Beatle Drums" and simply chanted "Ringo" over the music! And with that they scored a local hit! For their fourth and final 45, they returned to playing instrumentals.
