The Abandoned beat it DOWN a notch with their take on "Louie Louie," rewritten and rearranged as "Come On Mary." It's their moment of genius.
These Chicago tweeners (!!) formed in 1964 as the Satin Flames; their average age was 11 when they formed the band. The flip "Come On Mary" is a seriously punked-out version of Chuck Berry's "Around and Around." It's at least AS punk as the Germs' version... for sure!
