FUCK IT, I'm posting the Trashmen's ENTIRE Bird Dance Beat album today. Like, cause, the Trashmen are always the most fitting band to set off your Friday evening's beer bash and wet underwear contest?! C'mon, we all know summer ain't gonna last forever, so who's down for some KEG STANDS?!?!
The Trashmen were a surf group that formed in 1962 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Their biggest hit was "Surfin' Bird"; it got to number 4 in 1963. It's a bit of a well-known song even now, however, the song was a re-write of two Rivingtons' hits, "The Bird's The Word" and "Papa-Oom-Mow-Mow" AND another example of how white American teens did NOT need any "British Invasion" to learn how to teach 'em to play black music.
