Like most ROCK bands from the '60s started out as snot-nosed garage bands fixated on Chuck Berry and "Walk Don't Run," Michigan's Motor City Five were no exception. Before they were signed, now infamously, to Elektra, they were working a LOT in Detroit and managed to get three 45s issued on local labels. This first version of "Looking At You" was issued on A2; its flip was "Borderline." It's raw, way rawer than the later Elektra version; the vox are overdriven and the guitars are mixed for MAXIMUM SHREDDING!!
As for their story, well, they went on to be fabulous rock and roll stars!
