The synthy smooth wonk-masters Heatwarmer bring you a new video for "Rejoice," plus their new single, "Keep Shining Through." These should tide you over until tonight, when you can purchase their brand new self-titled album at their album-release show with La Luz and Bad Luck. Plus they have the perfect band name for a day like today!
UPDATE: In a spooky turn of events, Stranger contributor and local booker/great person Kenneth Piekarski was working on a Line Out post about this same show, at the SAME TIME I WAS. Here's what he has to say:
I've been a fan of Heatwarmer since I first saw them in the winter of 2009, before I even lived here, at the Greenhouse (RIP) with Lonesome Shack and maybe the Curious Mystery. This was kind of my Seattle DIY subcultural introductory period and one of many in a series of events that led me to eventually live here.
I've been to a lot of their shows throughout the years, and like many bands I've seen, I've had the delightful opportunity to watch them grow over time. They are undoubtedly in my unordered list of favorite bands in Seattle, which also bonuses as a list of bands that don't get much attention locally. (Take that, buzz bands!) May I remind you that this is the same band that was Jan Terri's backing band at Magma Fest in 2012?
