Charles Bradley Sings "Changes"

Posted by on Fri, Jan 3, 2014 at 1:53 PM

There was a time, back when I was kid, if a rock band chose to play a BALLAD they'd find their commitment to rocking AND rolling instantly called into question. It was even more of a big deal when a "ballad" was preformed by a heavy metal band. Well, I can't think of a more feelings full song, which categorically upset the heads, than the mellotron flecked Black Sabbath song, "Changes." For them to include some "feelings" on their Vol 4 album confused and angered many pimply faced long hairs. Anyways, I'd kinda forgotten the song till the other day when I heard it readdressed by the hands throat of Mr. Charles Bradley. Whoa.

Godamn. Bradley really can't do wrong. Uh, in keeping with the Sabbath motif, I'd kinda almost like to hear him singing "Supernaut."
