DETROIT—The American Civil Liberties Union of Michigan and the Detroit rap duo Insane Clown Posse are hosting a press conference today, Wednesday, Jan. 8, 2014 at 11 a.m. EST, to announce action on behalf of Juggalos—fans of Insane Clown Posse—in light of the Department of Justice and the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s erroneous designation of the Juggalos as a “hybrid” criminal gang. Previously, members of ICP had filed a Freedom of Information Act lawsuit in an attempt to find out what justification, if any, federal law enforcement authorities had for this designation.
