After releasing the acoustic guitar-based single "Fool's Melodies" last spring, Minneapolis trio Web of Sunsets are now preparing to issue their first full-length on Seattle's End of Time Records (the label founded by Sarah Moody from Hardly Art).

The new song "Foreign Body" drifts by like a gentle breeze, buoyed by the iridescent guitar playing of Chris Rose (Robust Worlds). If their previous track reminded me of a lo-fi Mazzy Star, this one plays more like Alison Shaw of the Cranes channeling Vashti Bunyan (granted, I couldn't stand the Cranes the first time I heard them, but they've grown on me over the years).

This morning, I listened to the rest of the record, and I like it. Rose, Sarah Nienaber, and Sara Bischof all sing; sometimes together, sometimes separately.

End of Time Records releases Room of Monsters on Feb 18 (digital and LP only).
