How Do You Respond If a Friend Makes an Awful Record?

Here’s a potentially awkward and stressful situation that most people will encounter, if they live long enough… and it calls for a poll.

this is a very good question as I have been in the middle of this before - A FEW TIMES. so, my way of going about this is to be honest and say "its not my thing". I recently saw a friends relatively new band live and said just that... he just shrugged it off and we had a drink.

Most of my friends handle criticism gracefully, so I'm not afraid to tell them honest feedback. I'm lucky in that regard, perhaps-- for other people I recommend you get better friends, or more talented friends.
