A Gourmet Hiphop Platter with a Sprinkling of Kimya Dawson

Posted by on Fri, Feb 7, 2014 at 9:37 AM

(Nectar) On last year's Hokey Fright, singer/songwriter Kimya Dawson joined forces with rapper Aesop Rock to create music that was half rap, half indie folk, and totally brilliant. Seemingly as a result, Dawson's an honorary member of the hiphop world, and tonight she joins a lineup of Northwest hiphop all-stars. Heading the bill: Grayskul, the duo of Onry Ozzborn and JFK, supporting their 2013 release, Zenith. Joining Dawson among the openers: trancey Seattle hiphop duo Triceracorn and rapper Graves 33.

And here's all our recommended music events—tonight, tomorrow, this weekend, and beyond!
