Tacocat's Album Release Party at Chop Suey!

Posted by on Fri, Feb 14, 2014 at 9:27 AM

(Chop Suey) This is a Valentine’s Day love-fest-slash-album-release-show for Tacocat’s new album, NVM. I know one of the T-Cats works here at ye ole Stranger (sound the “conflict of interest” alarms!), but slutever, I mean, whatever. You need NVM. It’ll remind you, in 2014, that the optimistic anarchism of Kathleen Hanna is alive and well… That there’s still such a thing as feminism that DOESN’T suck… That it’s perfectly A-OK to “surf that crimson wave” (errrr, write an upbeat song about menstruation). Snag one of first 100 copies of NVM, in hot pink vinyl, then smear on some lipstick and hit the special Val-Day photo booth. Get in line to smack one of the piñatas filled with candy, or just dance like there’s nobody watching. You won’t be able to NOT have fu-uh-uh-un, I promise. With Slutever, Pony Time and DJ Derek "Chomps" Erdman.

And here's all our recommended music events—tonight, tomorrow, and beyond!
