Mudhoney's Perpetually Unsucky, Cro-Magno-Grunge

Posted by on Sat, Feb 15, 2014 at 7:48 AM

As part of the Tractor’s 20th-anniversary celebration, another Seattle institution that remembers two decades ago will be hitting that whiskey-soaked stage: our pals, Mudhoney! In a time when Seattle is getting French kissed by the rest of the nation (gol-ly, we’re like the “ugly duckling” girl in those movies who just had to pluck her eyebrows and win a Grammy and a Super Bowl in order for everyone to see her inner beauty in the form of her outer beauty), it’s easy to say, “it’s finally our time!” But don’t ye forget the first time we had a time. Before beast modes and hand-me-down anthems, we had fuckin’ Mudhoney, braving the hype, and grunging the way for us all with their seething slacker garage rock that continues to not suck.

And here's all our recommended music events—tonight, tomorrow, this weekend, and beyond!
