It's fine to be all about saving something you enjoy but digging hard for bullshit justifications to back up an understandable apprehension toward this project is just plain stupid.

Not wanting to see something that brings you joy taken away from you is totally fine on its own. I think the sentiment speaks well enough on its own.

Density is more than just cramming as many housing units as possible into the urban core. The other prong of density is providing plenty of amenities for the people you want to move in. That's not just grocery stores and hardware stores, it's entertainment and cultural amenities as well. Like the Funhouse.

Adding housing at the expense of amenities is density done wrong. You need both or it doesn't work.
