Bonkers was a candy offering from Nabisco in the mid 1980s. It consisted of chewable rectangular shaped candies with a fruity outside and an even fruitier filling. The candy came in a large rectangular package with several of them individually wrapped. Common flavors included grape, orange, strawberry, watermelon and chocolate.

@2 - If candy isn't rock n' roll, then I don't know what is. Also, Opal Fruits! That name is hilarious. I feel a candy called BONKERS would go over well in both the US and the UK.

It's a cultural thing. Having grown up in England these sound odd to me:

"3 musketeers"
"moon pie"
"baby ruth"
"Krusty partially gelatinated non-dairy gum-based beverage"
"Idaho spud"
"Payday"

And "Snickers". That one's so crazy Mars orignally branded it as "Marathon" in the UK. "Starburst" used to be "Opal Fruits" but both of those are bonkers.

That said, you've alerted me to mini-eggs available now, so I am a happy camper :)
