I always thought Die Kreuzen just wasn't consistent enough to influence anyone in a significant way. not saying anything bad about them either, just that their sound varied from album to album and tended to get eclipsed by other bands doing similar things because of it. when the rare band does mention them as an influence, it's usually an hXc band who could just as easily name drop Negative Approach or Necros or Siege or early Husker Du or... but they just want to sound "deep" or something. it would be awesome for a band to consciously say they were trying to sound like 'October File', but that album runs on the outskirts of mid-paced thrash metal/crossover, so again, there's more obvious bands to draw from. and then there's the later, grunge-y stuff...

so my short answer is "I don't know, good question".

@3 There's no bad Killdozer song to have stuck in yr head.

Killdozer stands singularly in their awesomeness and pulled up the bridge after 'em when they packed it in. That's why there's never been anything like them since.

For the record, Twelve Point Buck is the pinnacle.
