i found l.d.'s remix the best of the bunch, but they're all fairly disappointing. the original still reigns supreme.

related: phaseone's take on "daily routine" (thanks gvb!) is a nice example of someone taking ac's sound into (more) exciting territory. fresh remix...
Zomby pretty much removed all the melody, joy, and excitement from the original. Usually I'm a fan of that approach, but it doesn't work here.

@1: Re your Q&A, how the hell do bands think they can still release something overseas a week before they do so domestically? That domestic release date now means nothing.

Really surprised you guys are both feeling this so much. Guess I'll take a benadryl and give it another spin...

      it's this, right?

i'm feelin it! it doesn't enhance the original, and you're right, maybe makes it worse, but as its own song? i like how the drums are a melody. and that snap is vicious.
It's funny, I was thinking that Zomby's remix was the least interesting one on the single too. The other two remixes are pretty decent if not diverging too much from the original.

I was thinking that up until the morning when I was listening to it before leaving my apartment for work. It's REALLY growing on me now. I like how un-ravey it is, how plodding it is, and how much it sounds 180 degrees from how I thought it was going to sound. At first it seems like a big fuck you to fans of Animal Collective and Zomby's recent album; but there is definitely more to it which I am beginning to see.

Q: How am I reviewing about a single that hasn't been released yet?
A: Don't worry about it.
