Last Slice of Butter have a goofy name, a name that would usually turn me off from ever listening to the drum/bass duo. But then I noticed that the band are playing an ice-cream/pinball parlor this weekend! Ice cream, pinball, and discordant fuzz rock? Yes, please. Full Tilt Ice Cream (9629 16th Ave SW) just opened about a month and a half ago in West Seattle, and not only does it serve up ice cream and pinball, but it has also started hosting shows in the bright new space, including the August 23 gig with Last Slice of Butter. Once you get past the goofy name, Last Slice of Butter aren't bad at all. Besides, the show is free, so if you hate it you can always grab a cone to go.
