And so, Pony ends not with a whimper or a bang, but with a death threat. Ponymaster Marcus Wilson’s iPod apparently vanished last night around last call, prompting a fuming Wilson to take to the small stage and scream, “Whoever took my iPod, I’m gonna fucking kill you,” followed by “Everybody get the fuck out of here,” and the throwing of beer bottles. No touching final moment, no last song, no speech, just shouting and broken glass.

It’s too bad things ended on such a sour note, because the rest of the night was a blast. The Ononos were a masked, synth-heavy spectacle. The dance party was lively, despite the PA repeatedly cutting out. It was sweaty and packed, with a line of people waiting to get in. Up until the very end, it was every bit the send-off that Pony deserved.

And if you stole Wilson’s iPod, please give it back to him.

marcus was djing off his ipod, and when the dj table got knocked over by drunken revelers, his ipod disappeared amidst the scattered cables, confetti, and empty cups. wherever it was, it was still connected to the mixer and pumping out jams.
i only realized this when i woke up this morning. at the time, my rum-muddled brain couldn't figure out where the music was coming from, since the cdjs weren't playing, and the front bar wasn't playing anything on their stereo, either. if the sensible and obvious conclusion that it was the ipod that was playing the music had occurred to me, i would have just followed the cord and rescued the ipod from the floor.
anyway, while it is still possible that someone saw the ipod down there and nabbed it, i have a feeling it was there the whole time.

god damn it. just shut up about that block. its over. kathleen wilson has already wiped the cum off her lips from blowing ever band in town, the cha cha has already turned their nose up at the last ugly person, the burritos didn't taste good and cobra high was a fucking awful band. who gives a shit about that block closing? it was all borrowed culture anyways. now maybe this idiotic paper will focus on a new block or maybe embrace the whole town they say they cover. bullshit. that block was bullshit.

I'm predicting the rise of coverage on Pike street, but the real action will be happening on Olive! ;)

What the hell are you talking about, Eric.

This is the ONLY way Pony should have ended!

hey eric, fuck off. do you have any idea how hard that night was for us? and you know, we could have had a historic after party if the pharmacy hadn't gotten all "punk" and broken the windows next door.
We loved that bar. We rock. it was like someone killed a family member. You're welcome!!!!

next time you see Marcus you tell him he's the best because, girls and boys, that man IS seattle.
