This Is What the Former Bassist of Jane’s Addiction Has Been Doing With His Life

posted by on December 27 at 16:33 PM

Eric Avery has a record coming out next April called Help Wanted. The advance just showed up at the office today.

It’s awful, fucking awful.

That is all you will read about that in these pages.

At least he's not Dave Navarro.

Is Nipper's Jane's Addiction article archived anywhere? It'd be a great to read it again.

Oooh! Doug! That does sound amazing, and we love putting gems from the archives online. I'll start looking next week.

Will you post about every bad release coming out? I look forward to it.

Looks like the cover of an Alan Parsons Project LP.

He wrote the intro for Mountain Song and it's been downhill since then, I guess.

The band he and Dave Navarro formed after Jane's (Deconstruction) was pretty damn good. The only thing that sucked about it was Eric decided to sing. If he's doing that again I'm not sure that it's a good thing. Still, you can forgive a multitude of sins for the bass line to Mountain Song.
