Wouldn't 1966 been the "bragging year" to see Dylan? When the Band was his um, band?

Also, Badu is awesome.

Oh, yes, I'm certain that in 40 years we are going to be comparing Badu to Dylan what all the genre/culture changing they have in common. I think it's more likely we'll be comparing this to, maybe, Sha Na Na in 1969, John Cougar Mellencamp in 1983 or Barenaked Ladies in 1998. I am having a tough time remembering exactly when in 1981 Bad Brains played Radio City Fucking Music Hall...

You can't be seriously saying that this:
"Does Erykah Badu have a center?"
qualifies as the 'best' of something.

No disrespect to Erykah Badu, but his little bragging rights sideline is utter bullshit. It's his way of saying "hey, Erykah Badu might be my favorite act, but I like cool stuff too guys!" Get a grip SFJ, she's probably got a guy slapping a six string bass, and that's why you were stoked.

frere jones' review of the new erykah cd was totally his great black hope rationalizing his other famous article

he created an avenue with that first shit then answered his own question. what a hustler

erykah owes a lot to madlib and karriem riggins and sa ra this time out. those madlib tracks will srsly blow a hole in your speaker.

for real, that cd broke my speaker
